Background Check/Clearances

for Volunteers

As of July 15, 2015, we are required to have 3 forms of background checks for volunteers 18+ in the State of Pennsylvania. Listed below are the websites volunteers can request their own reports (free by the State of PA). The FBI Waiver, if needed, does have a cost (which we will reimburse you for if you need to complete it). Thank you for volunteering in the Miracle League.

  1. PA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE – compass.state.pa.us/CWIS

  2. PA STATE POLICE BACKGROUND CHECK – https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp

  3. FBI FINGERPRINT – Depending on your length of residency in PA, you will either complete a waiver or you will need to be fingerprinted:

    • Lived in PA for more than 10 years? Complete this waiver.

    • Have not lived in PA for 10 years? You will need to schedule to your fingerprints taken for a national criminal history check to be done. Enter this code: 1KG6XN on the FBI fingerprint website. https://uenroll.identogo.com/
